ABOUT SAFARIS

Safaris in Tanzania are designed to bring you close to nature while ensuring your comfort and safety. Game drives are conducted in open-roof 4x4 vehicles led by professional guides who share deep knowledge of the land and its wildlife. Early morning and late afternoon drives are the best times for spotting animals, as the temperatures are cooler and wildlife is more active.

Most lodges and camps offer comfortable accommodations, delicious meals, and stunning views of the bush.

we also arrange cultural visits to nearby Maasai communities for a truly authentic experience.

WHAT TO PACK

Packing smartly ensures you enjoy every moment of your safari adventure. We recommend bringing:

  • Lightweight, neutral-colored clothing – Khaki, beige, or olive tones help you blend in and stay cool.

  • A warm layer or fleece – Early mornings and evenings can be surprisingly chilly.

  • Comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots – Ideal for bush walks or exploring campgrounds.

  • A wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen – Essential for protection from the strong African sun.

  • Insect repellent – Especially useful in the evenings.

  • Binoculars and a good camera – Capture unforgettable moments up close.

  • Reusable water bottle – Staying hydrated is key in the dry climate.

  • Personal medications and basic first aid supplies – Especially for allergies or motion sickness.

WHAT TO REMEMBER

  • Respect wildlife – Observe animals quietly and never attempt to feed or approach them.

  • Follow your guide’s instructions – They ensure your safety and the safety of the wildlife.

  • Travel light – Many internal flights have luggage weight limits (usually 15–20 kg per person).

  • Stay hydrated – Drink plenty of bottled or purified water throughout the day.

  • Protect your travel documents – Keep passports and valuables in a secure, waterproof pouch.

WHEN TO VISIT

  • Tanzania’s safaris are exceptional year-round, but the dry season (June to October) is ideal for wildlife viewing as animals gather around water sources. The green season (November to May) offers lush landscapes, fewer crowds, and incredible birdwatching opportunities.
